The John McCain $300 Million Challenge

John McCain is offering $300 million dollars when he becomes president to anyone that can develope a car battery that is more efficient than current technology. It is called the Clean Car Challenge. McCain said that "in the quest for alternatives to oil, our government has thrown around enough money subsidizing special interests and excusing failure. From now on, we will encourage heroic efforts in engineering, and we will reward the greatest success."
