In this interview with President Clinton he still has the charges of racism from the Obama camp during the primaries on his mind. They discuss whether Bill Clinton damaged support with African-Americans. This is a good reminder in light of the race debate from last week when Obama said George W. Bush and John McCain will attack him because he does not look like the other presidents on the dollar bills. But people forget that Obama had only a couple months ago made the same statement but actually mentioned the "they" will try to scare the voters because he is black. But Obama throughout the primaries used race as a wedge issue to attack opponents. He did against Bill Clinton, and very prominently did it against Geraldine Ferraro. Now he has done it against John McCain. Obama knows how to play the race card if he needs to and his record proves that.
