McCain Wrong On Waterboarding

Bill O'reilly points out a few facts that McCain does not answer when it comes to waterboarding. The U.S. government since 9-11 has waterboarded all of 3 people with very succesful results. All were high ranking members of Al-Qaeda. They gave up information that saved lives. McCain unfortunately does not respond to these facts and simply says he is against torture and follows the Geneva Convention. O'reilly attempts to point out that these are not POW's but rather high ranking terrorist enemy combatants that are picked up in battle that fight for no nation and are part of no national army. McCain's response again is weak. This is one of the reasons I personally did not vote McCain in the primary. Republicans have not presented us with a candidate who understands the utility of waterboarding in extreme circumstances. One of these three cases was Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, a mastermind of the 9-11 plot, who did not give over any information without waterboarding. When he was finally waterboarded it only took a couple of minutes, longer than most CIA operatives subjected to waterboarding, before he gave over valuable information. Simply put, McCain is wrong on waterboarding.

Arianna Huffingotn Says McCain "Used To Be An American Hero"

Arianna Huffington appears on Stephen Colbert's show and bashes McCain. That is fine. But when the words McCain "used to be an American hero" exit your mouth you realize you are dealing with the radical left. To Huffington, his heroism has nothing to do with his being tortured by the Communists of North Vietnam but rather by the fact that he allegedly used to be more liberal in 2000 when he first ran for president. Now that he is in her mind not the same McCain as he apparently was he is no longer an American hero. These liberals make their un-American views apparent to all that can pick up on them. She also plays on McCain's age saying that Iraq is McCains "viagra." Stay classy, Arianna.

John Bolton: Use Military Force Against Iran

John Bolton is a man who should be Secretary of State, at the very least. Perhaps McCain should find a place for him in his potential future administration. I would be more than happy to hear that. This is what Bolton had to say about Iran recently:

“This is a case where the use of military force against a training camp to show the Iranians we’re not going to tolerate this is really the most prudent thing to do. Then the ball would be in Iran’s court to draw the appropriate lesson to stop harming our troops.”

Furthermore, the Jerusalem Post reports that it has learned that Israel believes the Islamic Republic Of Iran will master centrifuge technology and be able to begin enriching uranium on a military scale this year. According to the new timeline, Iran could have a nuke by the middle of next year. Scary stuff, if true. Sure puts Bolton's comments in perspective as well. Tweet

Bush Urges Myanmar To Accept US Help

President George W. Bush on Tuesday implored Myanmar's ruling junta to accept US offers of disaster relief after a devastating cyclone that killed at least 22,000 and left 41,000 more missing. "Our message is to the military rulers: 'Let the United States come to help you, help the people," Bush said, as Myanmar's government set unspecified conditions for foreign relief groups to enter the storm-battered country. Bush also signed a law giving Myanmar democracy icon and junta foe Aung San Suu Kyi the top civilian award the US Congress can bestow. So even though the U.S. does not support the Myanmar military regime, it is the evil American imperialist George Bush who is asking that the U.S. be allowed to give aid to the country to help with disaster relief.
