The American Physical Society is an organization representing nearly 50,000 physicists. The society now admits that many of its members disbelieve in human-induced global warming. The leadership of the organization had said before this week that the evidence for man-made global warming was "incontrovertible." The leadership says they "reaffirm that position." But the society is allowing for debate to begin by publishing a paper by Lord Monckton of Brenchley. The paper finds that the IPCC grossly overstated climate sensitivity, or the rate of temperature change a given amount of greenhouse gas will cause. Monckton said, “I was dismayed to discover that the IPCC’s 2001 and 2007 reports did not devote chapters to the central ‘climate sensitivity’ question, and did not explain in proper, systematic detail the methods by which they evaluated it. When I began to investigate, it seemed that the IPCC was deliberately concealing and obscuring its method.”
Professor of Physics Larry Gould of the University of Hartford is Chairman of the New England Section of the APS. He called Monckton’s paper an “expose of the IPCC that details numerous exaggerations and extensive errors."
David Evans is a rocket scientist who has worked at the Australian Greenhouse Office. He writes that he personally "wrote the carbon accounting model (FullCAM) that measures Australia's compliance with the Kyoto Protocol." He makes startling admissions. He writes that "the evidence was not conclusive, but why wait until we were certain when it appeared we needed to act quickly?...Since 1999 new evidence has seriously weakened the case that carbon emissions are the main cause of global warming, and by 2007 the evidence was pretty conclusive that carbon played only a minor role and was not the main cause of the recent global warming." The American Physical Society Admits There Is Debate On Global Warming
List Of Some Important Obama Flips So Far In This Campaign
Barack Obama is the self proclaimed candidate of "change." All those who realize the fact that Obama is thin on record and experience ask what type of change dooes this man truly represent? The fact that he had the most liberal voting record in the Senate in 2007 probably tells us something about where he really stands.
I know that it may sound a little tiresome to hear the word "flip-flop" again as it was the major Republican assault on John Kerry's 2004 campaign but it needs to be said. Some may try to make lists of alleged McCain flip-flops as well. I do not think all the flips on those lists are as legitimate but it is truly beside the point. It is Barack Obama that warrants special attention on this issue. The reason is he has painted himself as an all together new type of candidate representing a new era in politics. It is more relevant to Obama than McCain because Barack is the one who has repeatedly claimed to be the post-partisan candidate, the candidate of change. Showing that he is just as much of a politician as the next guy certainly goes to dispelling those notions. I would like to add that this list is by no means necessarily complete, but that it represents important key indisputable flip-flops. Feel free to add more by posting comments. Here they are:
- CUBA EMBARGO: In January 2004, Obama said it was time "to end the embargo with Cuba" because it had "utterly failed in the effort to overthrow Castro." Speaking to a Cuban American audience in Miami in August 2007, he said he would not "take off the embargo" as president because it is "an important inducement for change."
- DECRIMINALIZING POT: While running for the U.S. Senate in January 2004, Obama told Illinois college students that he supported eliminating criminal penalties for marijuana use. In the Oct. 30, 2007, presidential debate, he joined other Democratic candidates in opposing the decriminalization of marijuana.
- BUSINESSES HIRING ILLEGALS: In a March 2004 questionnaire, Obama was asked if the government should "crack down on businesses that hire illegal immigrants." He replied "Oppose." In a Jan. 31, 2008, televised debate, he said that "we do have to crack down on those employers that are taking advantage of the situation."
- FISA REFORM: In October 2007 the Obama campaign pledged he would filibuster "any bill that includes retroactive immunity for telecommunications companies." In January 2008 Obama issued a statement saying, I "strongly oppose retroactive immunity in the FISA bill." A few weeks ago Barack Obama voted for a bill that did just that.
- THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS: After the D.C. handgun ban had been overturned by the Supreme Court Obama said "it looks to me that the D.C. handgun ban overshot the runway. That it went beyond constitutional limits." But the Chicago Tribue reported in November 2007 that "Obama believes the D.C. handgun law is constitutional." Obama had also answered "yes" on a 1996 questionnaire to banning the "manufacture, sale, and possesion of handguns." Obama denied this but Politico reported his handwritting was on the document.
- NAFTA: In February 2008, as the campaign moved into the Rust Belt, Obama vowed to invoke a six-month opt-out of NAFTA clause and said he would take "the hammer" to NAFTA. Now, however, Obama says he doesn't believe in unilaterally reopening NAFTA. Obama now says that his anti-NAFTA rhetoric was a bit "overheated." He added that NAFTA has indeed been positive for the U.S. in some ways, and that his criticism, while trying to convince white blue collar voters to vote for him, was "overheated and amplified."
- IRAQ SURGE: Obama said on January 5, 2008, "I had no doubt, and I said when I opposed the surge, that given how wonderfully our troops perform, if we place 30,000 more troops in there, then we would see an improvement in the security situation and we would see a reduction in the violence." One year earlier, however, he said "we can send 15,000 more troops; 20,000 more troops; 30,000 more troops. Uh, I don't know any, uh, expert on the region or any military officer that I've spoken to, uh, privately that believes that that is gonna make a substantial difference on the situation on the ground." That is only one of many statements from Obama predicting the surge would worsen or have no effect on the security situation in Iraq. He flips and now claims he never said or believed things that are on the record.
- LAPEL FLAG PIN: Obama said about his lack of a flag pin on his lapel that the pin was a "substitute for patriotism" and "I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest." Only days after his insulting and elitist comments about a "bitter" small town America "clinging to guns or religion" the pin had made a return to his lapel and he said, "I was never opposed to wearing flag pins." Normally a candidate's lack of a pin would not be an issue but Obama made it an issue by not wearing it specifically to show that he was opposed to Bush's policy and the alleged phony patriotism that comes along with it.
- JEREMIAH WRIGHT: Immediately after the tapes of Obama's pastor and close friend of 20 years Jeremiah Wright declaring "God damn America" and many more very radical anti-American and anti-Israel statements came out Obama reponded that he had "no intention of leaving the church itself" that and that Wright was "like an uncle" who was teaching "social gospel." He then gave a highly covered speech on race relations saying that "I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother." One month later when the controversy had nonetheless not disappeared Obama did finally denounce Wright and cut him off out of political necessity. His next step was that he officially left Trinity United Church because he realized it was far too radical for most Americans to handle.
- UNDIVIDED JERUSALEM AS ISRAEL'S CAPITAL: In a speech before AIPAC the Senator from Illinois declared unambigously that “Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided." Soon thereafter Obama said that he "tried to correct the interpretation" of that statement. He switched his position saying that "it's going to be up to the parties to negotiate a range of these issues and Jerusalem will be part of those negotiations.”
- CALIFORNIA MARRIAGE AMENDMENT: Obama claimed he believed the issue of gay marriage should be left up to the individual States. When a constitutional amendment was placed on the November ballot to overturn the California Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage Obama took a decidedly different approach. He went from saying it should be up to the states to writing to the to the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club that "I oppose the divisive and discriminatory efforts to amend the California Constitution."
- PUBLIC FINANCING: Barack Obama answered a Midwest Democracy Network questionnaire in September 2007 saying that "If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election." Obama ended up following the money and opted out of public financing for the general election.
- IRANIAN REVOLUTIONARY GAURD: Obama's campaign has said more recently that the Senator "has consistently urged that Iran's Revolutionary Guard be labeled what it is: a terrorist organization." But before this Obama spent months campaigning on his opposition to and his vote against the Kyl-Lieberman Amendment which did just that.
It seems that Barack Obama declaring himself the candidate of change is not so far off the mark after all.

Israel Arrests Six Arabs In "Al Qaeda Cell" Conspiring To Assassinate Bush
Reuters reports that Israel charged six Arabs on Friday of "trying to set up an al Qaeda cell in Israel and said one of them had proposed attacking helicopters used during a visit by President George W. Bush." They used a cell phone to film helicopters at a sports stadium in Jerusalem that was used as a landing site for Bush's delegation. Apparently these terrorists were not taking very much precaution as they were posting questions on al Qaeda frequented websites for help in shooting down helicopters. Four of the suspects are Palestinian Arabs of East Jerusalem. The other two are Israeli Arabs. The Shin Bet said the men had met a number of times at Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque in attempts to organize a local Al Qaeda network. They said computers seized from several of them contained bomb-making manuals.

Feds open 3.9 Million Acres Of Land In A Designated Petroleum Reserve In Alaska
Bush took another step today showing that he is serious when it comes to expanded drilling and that he takes the rise in gas prices seriously. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the Democratic Congress. The Financial Times reports that "the US federal government on Wednesday said it would open 3.9m acres of land in a designated petroleum reserve in Alaska for drilling as a means to help curb rising petrol prices." This Alaska move is unlike the decision on Monday lifting a presidential ban on drilling on the US outer continental shelf that still requires Congress to lift a separate ban on the area before the area can be leased for development. The Bureau of Land Management of the US Department of the Interior says no Congressional approval is necessary and the Alaskan land will be offered for leasing in the autumn.
So let us now discuss what the Democrats have done to help expand the supply of American energy when gas prices are soaring and America is in desperate need of less reliance on foreign oil. Well, the International Herald Tribune reports that "Pelosi is not budging" in her stubborn stance against any new drilling and "she and Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader, appear intent on holding the line against calls to approve drilling in areas now off limits." Why am I not surprised?

Samir Kuntar, Terrorist Child-Killer, Gets Hero's Welcome Upon Release To Lebanon That Encourages Further Kidnapping
The French news agency AFP reported that "the coastal road from the Israeli border to the southern port city of Sidon had been covered with Hizbullah decorations, and hundreds of volunteers had been hanging banners to praise Hizbullah’s role in the prisoners’ release throughout the south of the country. In Kuntar’s home in Abey, streets were decorated with banners welcoming the return of the former member of the radical Palestine Liberation Front. “Samir Kuntar is the conscience of Lebanon, Palestine and the Arab nation. Abey welcomes the hero, prisoner Samir Kuntar,” reads one sign. Meanwhile, a senior Hizbullah official has said Israel’s approval of a prisoner swap with his group was an 'official admission of defeat.'" Need I say more. The Israeli government ought to be ashamed with itself.
The following is a link to a video of the festivities upon the return of this scum (for whom words alone cannot describe his depravity) to Lebanon along with other live terrorists in exchange for the remains of two Israeli soldiers:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/video/2008/jul/17/nasrallah?gusrc=rss&feed=worldnews
Here is another link to an article written in 2003 in the Washington Post by Smadar Haran Kaisar. She is the mother of the family that terrorist Samir Kuntar and his henchmen slaughtered. She describes what happened on that awful day:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&contentId=A2740-2003May17
Hassan Nasrallah celebrates with Samir Kuntar as thousands cheer. This makes me sick to my stomach. It is worse than a disgrace. Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah declares after Samir Kuntar gives him a kiss that "the age of defeat has passed and the age of victory is upon us." The sad truth is that Nasrallah is right. This can only be interpreted as another victory in a string of victories for Hezbollah. "What we've done now has made kidnapping soldiers the most profitable game in town. There is absolutely no reason why Hezbollah should not invest huge resources now, along with Hamas, in the next kidnapping," said Israeli security expert Martin Sherman. You don't believe an Israeli expert, I hear you say? Take Israel's enemies own words as proof. Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh's spokesman said today that Israel "shows that the only successful way to free the prisoners is by kidnapping soldiers."

The Cultural Surrender Now Taking Place In The United Kingdom
Allow me to share three recent news stories from the United Kingdom that demonstrate a shocking level of cultural surrender to the sensitivities of Muslims. These stories could be attributed to multiculturalism and political correctnes gone extremely haywire. It demonstrates that something is going seriously wrong in the society of the UK.
STORY 1:
The first story comes from Tayside in Scotland where the police force actually apologized to the Muslim community for an ad that some felt was offensive. The purpose of the ad was to advertise a new non-emergency police number. The ad was pulled by the the police force. You might think that the ad displayed an image of Mohammed or demeaned some Islamic religous tradition. Take a look at the ad for yourself:
The ad featured a puppy german shepherd named "Rebel" that was training to be a police dog. What was offensive was that dogs are ritually unclean animals in Islamic tradition. Is there any rational person out there looking at this advertisement that thinks the police should have apologized or that the ad should be offensive? This is so ludicrous it would be funny if it were not true.
STORY 2:
You might have thought that last story was bad, but you ain't heard nothing yet. The Daily Mail reports that "two schoolboys were given detention after refusing to kneel down and ‘pray to Allah’ during a religious education lesson." The boys did not want to take place in a "practical demonstration" of how Muslims worship. The grandfather of one of the students in the class put it this way: “My child has been forced to pray to Allah in a school lesson. But if Muslims were asked to go to church on Sunday and take Holy Communion there would be war.”
STORY 3:
Finally let me end off with the final news story that is probably the worst of them all. Abu Qatada is said to be one of the world's most dangerous Islamoterrorist suspects. The Daily Mail reports that "he was released on bail from a high-security prison" around three weeks ago "after the courts ordered that he could not be sent home to Jordan because his human rights would have been breached." The jihadist "was pictured on a shopping trip near the £800,000 home he shares with his wife and children. Exact details of the location where the Qatada family are living on benefits of an estimated £50,000 a year are protected by court orders. Despite being under virtual house arrest the cleric appeared relaxed as he walked to nearby shops occasionally stroking his bushy, greying beard," sharing jokes with a woman on the street, and seemingly enjoying his high life in Britain.

Israel Trades Live Terrorists For Dead Soldier Remains
Israel today received two coffins containing the remains of Israeli reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. These two soldiers were kidnapped by Hezbollah while in Israel in the summer 2006. The abduction of these soldiers on Israel's own territory lead to the summer battle against Hezbollah in 2006, a battle which Hezbollah by all measures won. During that war Hezbollah fired many rockets randomly at northern Israel targeting civilians including those in cities such as Haifa. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert ran a bungled and incompetent military campaign against Hezbollah. He promised the complete destruction of the terrorist group, something that obviously did not come close to happening. The Israelis achieved very little objectives, such as crushing Hezbollah, killing its leader Hassan Nasrallah, or recapturing the two soldiers. Since that war Hezbollah has gone on to take the entire government of Lebanon hostage through voilence and has proven that it has the strong arm in Beirut. Though Hezbollah does not hold the most important cabinet positions it amazingly gained complete veto power over all government decisions. The Hezbollah terrorists violence against their fellow Arabs and countrymen took place this past May killing at least 81 people.
After launching a war without the will to attain the promised objective Ehud Olmert's government turned to negotiating with the Islamoterrorist enemy that captured its soldiers, killed innocent Israelis, and desires the complete destruction of the Jewish State. Olmert's government agreed to release Lebanese terrorist Samir Kuntar and four other captured Lebanese terrorists in exchange for the two bodies. Kuntar has been serving four life sentences in Israeli prison after murdering four innocent Israelis in northern Israel including a father and his young daughter in 1979. For Israel to be exchanging terrorists responsible for murdering their own citizens in exchange for bodies is inexcusable. Of course I appreciate that the families can now bury their sons and let them rest in peace. Even so, there is no excuse for releasing these terrorists, for negotiating with terrorists, and for exchanging live terrorists who can see to it upon their release that there are more Israeli bodies to be buried.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in a statement that "this is a day of removal of doubt. Certainly with regards to the fate of Udi and Eldad, may their memories be blessed, but also regarding the moral and ethical power of Israel." I disagree. It shows the weakness of Israel. It shows Israel's enemies that if they kidnap and kill Israeli soldiers they will be rewarded with the release of terrorists. It provides an incentive for continued kidnapping and killing. It is not moral nor is it ethical to release five terrorists for two dead bodies.

Jon Stewart Slams Obama And The Media Over The New Yorker Magazine Controversy: "It's Just A Fu**ing Cartoon"
Anyone who watches the Daily Show knows that Jon Stewart is a pretty liberal guy, but that he knows hot to cross the comedy fence and poke fun at liberals when he has to. He does go a little over the top with some of the quick cuts out of context from the media about Obama as if the media has been overly harsh to Obama, which I do not believe to be the case. But the fact is that the media is not about information but more often about about sensationalism, creating controversy, entertainment value, or some would simply use the word ratings. The overall message of the segment is both funny and true.
I'd have to say that I agree with Jon Stewart completely. I find this whole New Yorker cover controversy to be very trivial. I think that Obama's response to a liberal magazine that had a cover that satired what the magazine thinks right-wingers believe about Barack Obama and contained a very pro-Obama article on the inside is ridiculous. John McCain even jumped on the bandwagon condemning the New Yorker. The point was that everyone seems to think Americans are too stupid to figure out satire. No one is basing their vote on a New Yorker magazine cartoon anyway. The creation of a controversy over a cartoon was what was "tasteless and offensive."

Death Row Inmates Running Blogs
I guess it's good to know that I am in good company. But seriously, this is no laughing matter. This is downright sick. The way this works is that inmates are not allowed access to computers but are allowed to send regular mail. They send out mail with instructions of what to put on their websites. One example of this is the high-profile murderer Scott Peterson who has pictures of himself online smiling with his wife Lacy, the pregnant spouse that he murdered. He has links that discuss his "wrongful conviction." Other examples are the murderer of a 12 year old girl named Richard Allen Davis and a serial killer named Charles Ng. These are the worst scum our society has produced and yet they are online as if they have never been convicted. This is terrible to the familys of the victims who need to see these sick people posting on the web when they should be "rotting" in prison. It is also an affront to the sense of of justice our country must adhere to. Unfortunately lawyers claim the right to free speech is extended to these monsters so they within their rights when someone else posts for them on the internet. The whole idea of these people having rights makes me sick. I'm not quite sure how you could stop this unless you stop all inmates from sending any mail. Maybe that should be implemented for death row inmates. Or maybe inmates where the evidence is stacked up and overwhelming so as to be well beyond a reasonable doubt, such as with Scott Peterson, should be on a fast track to the lethal injection. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Tony Blair Ditches Trip To Gaza After Warning Of Assassination Attempt
The former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is now the "envoy" for the Middle East peace ‘quartet’ of the United Nations, European Union, United States, and Russia. On his way to the Gaza strip he was called by Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak about Israeli intelligence warning of a "serious threat" of assassination to Blair by Palestinian terrorists. Blair said that the intelligence was "credible" and "specific" warranting his turnaround. What is especially interesting about this is that Tony Blair has always and consistently been in favor of pressuring Israel to make concessions to the Palestinians and has been a strong supporter of a Palestinian state in all the disputed territory. They want him dead. Go figure.

Lindsay Graham and Joe Lieberman Respond To Obama's Iraq Speech Today
The speech itself was recycled Obama rhetoric and had nothing surprising or new in the way of policy and approach to foreign policy. Since I have discussed his view as being naive and reckless before I would rather allow you to see the response to the speech from other Senators.
South Carolina Senator Lindsay Graham had this to say:
Connecticut Senator Joseph Lieberman said this:
“Sen. Obama said this morning that he wants a foreign policy that is tough, smart and principled. This afternoon I want to ask my colleague who I respect and like a couple of direct questions: Was it tough when Sen. Obama voted to order U.S. troops to retreat from Iraq on a fixed timeline regardless of the recommendations of our military commanders or conditions on the ground? Was it smart when Sen. Obama opposed the surge and predicted that it would fail to improve our security? … Was it tough and principled when Sen. Obama said he would be open to changing his plan on Iraq after going there and talking to General Petraeus, which I think was the right position, only to change that position hours later after being heatedly criticized by organizations like MoveOn.org? I say respectfully the answer to all those questions is, no.”

Gas Prices Worry People A Lot More Than Global Warming
Click the image to enlarge:
The Investor's Business Daily Poll shows that Americans by a 3-1 margin believe that gasoline prices is a bigger challenge than global warming. 73% thought "fuel prices at the pump" were a bigger worry. A mere 23% said climate change was the bigger problem. Even two thirds of Democrats expressed this sentiment. Furthermore, 64% of respondents support offshore drilling and 65% support oil shale development. 47% say yes to drilling in the ANWR and 43% no. As IBD point out, Bush has supported all these popular nad common sense measure as "Bush has proposed opening ANWR for drilling, lifting restrictions on oil-shale leasing in the Green River Basin of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming, and easing the regulatory process to expand oil refining capacity." President Bush just removed the executive ban on offshore drilling yesterday, a ban passed by his father in 1990. Now the only thing in the way of offshore drilling is the Congressional ban and the Democrats seem more in line with environmental special interests than the American people. As Bush put it, "the only thing standing between the American people and these vast oil resources is action from the U.S. Congress. Now the ball is squarely in Congress' court." Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConell put it this way: "Now the only thing standing between consumers at the pump and the increased American energy they are demanding is the Democrat leadership in Congress. We should act and act now."

Reporters Want To Know Why Bush Does Not Preach To Americans About Energy Conservation
Bush is asked by a reporter in the press room about why he does not call on the American people to conserve energy, such as telling them to drive less and turn down thermostats. Bush gives the obvious answer. The American people are "plenty smart." They will decide how their thermostats should be and how much they should drive based on their own pocketbooks. Obviously everybody, including Bush in his answer, supports people using less energy where they can and using common sense so as not to waste energy for no reason. Stuff like turning off lights when you leave the room or not using air conditioning if you don't need it or are not in the house is something everyone common sense person supports. But Bush is not our Daddy and I don't need or want to be lectured by the government with mindless statements about about my driving or thermostats. Perhaps the headlines the media are looking for are "President says don't use AC when not in home" but I personally refer that the government take action on this issue and not just spout rhetoric. I prefer to see a headlines that say something like "Congress Passes ANWR Drilling Legislation" or "Offshore Drilling Permitted By Congress."
Bush has taken and supported actual governmental action, not just lecturing the people like Harry Reid about how "oil makes us sick." Since the beginning of his administration he has supported drilling in ANWR. For all those who claim that it will take years to get production up and running and be able to actually utilize that oil, let me remind you that if the anti-drilling members of Congress had allowed for it eight years ago then today it would be a very fruitful source of oil. It is an excuse that has relied on past governmental inaction as an excuse for continued inacton.
Bush has also set a showdown with Congress in motion by lifting the executive ban on offshore drilling put in place by President George H.W. Bush. A congressional ban on offshore drilling remains in place and it is now up to Congress to allow for this first step in the broad picture of getting America off of its foreign oil addiction and bringing down gas prices. The Democratic Congress is standing firm in it's anti-drilling stance as prices continue to rise.
Furthermore, even if oil from new drilling was not able to itself be used for some time, the fact is that if America permitted energy exploration on all fronts and allowed more drilling the market would respond and gas prices would go down. Allow me to provide some evidence. In today's press conference Bush repeated his insistence on new drilling and smacked the Dem Congress for not removing the congressional moratorium on the Outer Continental Shelf and other offshore drilling.
CNBC's Larry Kudlow points out that "crude-oil futures for August delivery plunged $9.26, or 6.3 percent, almost immediately as Bush was speaking, bringing the barrel price down to $136." He concludes that "if Congress moves to seal the deal, oil prices will probably keep on falling. That’s the way traders work. They discount the future. Psychology and expectations can turn on a dime."
Kudlow also disputes the premise from the opponents of new drilling that it would take 10 years to produce oil from offshore drilling sayihng that "Wall Street research house Sanford C. Bernstein says that California actually could start producing new oil within one year if the moratorium were lifted. The California oil is under shallow water and already has been explored. Drilling platforms have been in place since before the moratorium. They’re talking about 10 billion barrels worth off the coast of California."
It's time to drill here at home and stop relying on getting all of our oil from foreign nations. We should not be dependent on the likes of Saudia Arabia which funds extremist Wahhabi Islam all over the world. It is time to start drilling here and now.
Of course drilling at home should not be the only thing we do to get off the foreign oil train, but it is certainly a very important first step. A step that Congress must take immediately.

The AP And Los Angeles Times Disrespect Tony Snow Just After His Death
Link: sevenload.com
The following is Bill O'reilly explaining the egregious behavior of these two news outlets and appropriately showing the necessary outrage at these shameless media fools:
The Associated Press should be ashamed of themselves, editorializing in an obituary of Tony Snow. As O'reilly points out the article from the AP says the that "with a quick-from-the-lip repartee, broadcaster's good looks and a relentlessly bright outlook - if not always a command of the facts - he became a popular figure around the country to the delight of his White House bosses" and that "critics suggested that Snow was turning the traditionally informational daily briefing into a personality-driven media event short on facts and long on confrontation." That this type of insulting language would appear in an obituary of the recently deceased who was a decent guy is disgusting.
O'reilly also discusses the L.A. Times website and the hate speech that was allowed to appear. The L.A. times is not just some random website with a lot of traffic that cannot moderate the comments posted there. The LA Times in fact moderates all its comments and everything appearing on the site is read and approved by an editor. The conduct of the LA Times in allowing such hateful language such as comparing Tony Snow to a Nazi is inexcusable.

John Bolton On Israel, Iran, And The Bomb In The Wall Street Journal
Allow me to give you an excerpt from the very end of John Bolton's piece in the WSJ appearing July 15, 2008: "When the real source of the threat, not just a surrogate, nears the capacity for nuclear Holocaust, can anyone seriously doubt Israel's propensities, whatever the impact on gasoline prices? Thus, instead of debating how much longer to continue five years of failed diplomacy, we should be intensively considering what cooperation the U.S. will extend to Israel before, during and after a strike on Iran. We will be blamed for the strike anyway, and certainly feel whatever negative consequences result, so there is compelling logic to make it as successful as possible. At a minimum, we should place no obstacles in Israel's path, and facilitate its efforts where we can. These subjects are decidedly unpleasant. A nuclear Iran is more so." I could not agree more.
Mr. Bolton is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and is the author of "Surrender Is Not an Option: Defending America at the United Nations." He was a former ambassador to the United Nations under Bush. In my opinion, he is perhaps one of the greatest voices on foreign policy issues. Feds Say Sen. Chuck Schumer "Immediate Cause" Of Indymac Collapse
The press release that was issued by IndyMac's regulator, the Office of Thrift Supervision, said the "immediate cause" of the collapse of IndyMac was none other than the Democratic Senator from New York.
The press release said the following: "The OTS has determined that the current institution, IndyMac Bank, is unlikely to be able to meet continued depositors’ demands in the normal course of business and is therefore in an unsafe and unsound condition. The IMMEDIATE CAUSE OF THE CLOSING WAS A DEPOSIT RUN THAT BEGAN AND CONTINUED AFTER THE PUBLIC RELEASE OF A JUNE 26 LETTER TO THE OTS AND THE FDIC FROM SENATOR CHARLES SCHUMERE.
