Male Elementary School Janitor To Return To School From Summer As A Woman

In a sane world this man would be told that he would lose his job if he were to "change his gender." The letter sent by the school telling parents to inform their kids that the janitor was a man but is now a woman is ridiculous. Elementary school kids should not be forced to confront the issue of sex changes. This man should be told that he is free to make his choice but that but that if he does make that choice there will be consequences and that his job at the school will no longer be avaliable to him. He should be told to look for a job as a janitor in an adult setting. In his job this janitor works around children, some of whom may recognize him from the previous year, many that may very well be quite confused by what they see. Children in elementary school should not be told or sent the message by a school that it is normal for people to "switch genders." It is confusing to a child and sends a very wrong message.

Obama Picks Joe Biden As VP

The McCain camp wasted no time responding to the selection of Biden as Obama's running mate by quickly hitting Obama by using Biden's own words from just a few months ago against Obama:

While we are on the subject of old footage of Joe Biden, here he can be seen making a crack about the "indian accent" and 7-11. Classic Biden:

Here you can see a BBC reporter calling Joe Biden "a bit of a windbag":

New Video Of Celebrity's Singing For Obama

Does a video like this really help Barack Obama when his opponent is running ads mocking Obama as "the one" and depicting Obama as some sort of messianic figure? I don't think this helps him at all. Is there not something creepy about the Obama worship in this video?

Factcheck.org Debunks Obama's Smear Of McCain Concerning Ralph Reed

The following is the non-partisan Factcheck.org response to this ad:

The ad calls Reed a “power broker” who was “in the middle” of “one of Washington’s biggest scandals,” the Jack Abramoff affair. And it says that McCain, as chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee, “never even called Reed to testify” in the Abramoff investigation.
That’s all true, but what’s not said is that McCain’s report caused Reed political embarrassment, making public evidence that contradicted Reed’s claim that he hadn’t known that his lobbying activities among anti-gambling Christian activists had been paid for by casino-owning Indian tribes who wanted to suppress competition…
McCain’s investigation focused primarily on how Abramoff and Scanlon fleeced tribes by charging them millions in lobbying fees for lobbying work they never performed. But as the report details, Reed actually performed the lobbying work he was paid to do. In fact, Abramoff and Scanlon eventually pushed Reed aside, so they could keep for themselves the money they might otherwise have paid Reed…
So what could Reed have told the committee if McCain had called him as a witness? We don’t know, and the Obama ad doesn’t say.

American Gold Medal Volleyball Player Thanks Bush

It comes at the very end of the clip:

Another McCain Ad On Obama Being "The One"

The McCain people seem to be pumping out some of their strongest ads in anticipation of the Democratic convention next week. This ad does recycle some of the earlier material, but it also has some new stuff:

Here is a recent video from Youtube of Obama as if he were a figure of the Bible:

Obama Hits McCain On Housing And McCain Hits Back

Obama's ad about John McCain:

McCain's response ad to Obama which I think is stronger:

Country Song Supporting McCain

Corny and sort of meaningless, but it will appeal to a partisan sense of election spirit, I guess:

Obama Lies And Misleads In Answer To Abortion Question At Saddleback Church

Both John McCain and Barack Obama participated in a forum in which they were asked questions by Pastor Rick Warren on the issues that matter to "values voters" at Saddleback Church. Obama was asked, "at what point does a baby get human rights in your view?" His answer was actually that the question was "above my pay grade." Perhaps the Senate is more along the lines of Obama's pay grade because the presidency is the most important job in the world, a job which does have to confront abortion related issues.

Obama also said that the "the fact is that although we’ve had a president who is opposed to abortions over the last eight years, abortions have not gone down." As John Adams famously stated in his defense of the British soldiers of the Boston massacre, "facts are stubborn things." The small problem with this fact is that it is simply not true. The findings of the Alan Guttmacher Institute, a reproductive health and rights think-tank that surveys every known abortion provider in the country every four or five years, were reported early this year. This is the group's 14th survey. According to the study released the abortion rate in 2005 was lower than the rate in 1975, two years after Roe v. Wade. The rate is calculated as the percentage of women of childbearing age having abortions. "In 2005 we had an abortion rate of 19.4 abortions per 1,000 women aged 15 to 44," said Rachel Jones, a senior research associate with the group and the study's lead author. That's down "considerably" from a high point of 29.3 abortions per 1,000 women in 1980, she said. There was also a drop in the actual number of abortions performed. In 2005, there were 1.2 million abortions in the U.S., down 8 percent from 1.3 million in 2000. Click the image to enlarge:

Finally, he never actually answered the question about whether he has "EVER VOTED to limit or reduce abortions." He would rather avoid the issue and his actual record. He claims he is against late term abortions but yet he voted against the partial birth abortion ban in the Senate which included an exception for the life of the mother. In the Illinois State Senate he also voted against a bill to protect babies that survive failed abortions. His record on abortion is abysmal.

The following is an edited and spliced clip showing how Obama lied in a CBN interview:

In case you do not believe this video alone, the New York Sun reports that "indeed, Mr. Obama appeared to misstate his position in the CBN interview on Saturday when he said the federal version he supported 'was not the bill that was presented at the state level.' His campaign yesterday acknowledged that HE HAD VOTED AGAINST AN IDENTICAL BILL in the state Senate, and a spokesman, Hari Sevugan, said the senator and other lawmakers had concerns that even as worded, the legislation could have undermined existing Illinois abortion law."
