Former Top Hillary Clinton Fundraiser Lynn Forester de Rothschild Now McCain Supporter

CNN anchor Campbell Brown is openly hostile to her guest, Lynn Forester de Rothschild. After all, how dare a Clinton fundraiser support John McCain. The host uses every line in the book to delegitimize her guest from accusing her of being "elitist," "bitter," and an anbandoner of principles. The distaste for the fact that a Democrat could support McCain is palpable. Forester de Rothschild holds her own just fine against Brown's pro-Obama snarling.

Formal Investigation Launched Into English Professor That Gave Out Anti-Palin Assignment At A State College

It seems an investigation has gotten this douchebag professor to shut up. It should not take a university formal investigation for a teacher to know you do not preach politics or assign politically biased assignments in an English class, especially at a school funded by taxpayer money. There should be no investigation, everybody admits that he gave out the absurd assignment. What is there to investigate? The guy should get the boot for being an incompetent professor that would rather force his opinions on his class instead of actually doing his job.

The hacking of Sarah Palin's e-mail and the posting of her messages and photos online is disgusting. These liberal hackers are trying to intimidate conservative women like Sarah Palin from becoming succesful in politics. I hope the government takes this seriously and does not allow these kind of low tactics to go unanswered.

Julius And Ethel Rosenberg's Co-Defendant Morton Sobell Finally Admits That He And Julius Were Spies For Stalin

More conclusive evidence has emerged to dispell the liberal myth that the Rosenbergs, executed for espionage in 1953, were innocent. This evidence is not even necessary as Julius Rosenberg appears in secret cables between the Soviet Union and their agents within the United States that were decoded by American intelligence. The cables were released by the U.S. government in the mid-1990's. The top secret decryption program was known as Venona and it has proven that the government was in fact riddled with Communist spies during and after the Second World War. In fact, Julius Rosenberg's code name in the cables was "Liberal." What makes this new piece of evidence against the Rosenbergs particulary astounding is the source. Martin Sobell was the co-defendant of the Rosenbergs and was sentence to thirty years in prison for his espionage. He spent time in Alcatraz and was released in 1969. After decades of denying that he was a Communist spy, in his old age he has finally confessed to the truth.

The New York Times reported "Mr. Sobell’s confession, in an interview last week with The New York Times, that he and Julius stole nonatomic military and industrial secrets." With this confession, even the two sons of the Rosenbergs are admitting that it is conclusive that their father was involved in an espionage conspiracy. The Rosenberg case is closed. This is just another example of how the predominant liberal myths concerning the "Red Scare" of the 1950's continue to be shattered.

Here is an excerpt from a Los Angeles Times opinion piece on this startling confession:

"Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed 55 years ago, on June 19, 1953. But last week, they were back in the headlines when Morton Sobell, the co-defendant in their famous espionage trial, finally admitted that he and his friend, Julius, had both been Soviet agents.
It was a stunning admission; Sobell, now 91 years old, had adamantly maintained his innocence for more than half a century. After his comments were published, even the Rosenbergs’ children, Robert and Michael Meeropol, were left with little hope to hang on to — and this week, in comments unlike any they’ve made previously, the brothers acknowledged having reached the difficult conclusion that their father was, indeed, a spy. 'I don’t have any reason to doubt Morty,' Michael Meeropol told Sam Roberts of the New York Times.
With these latest events, the end has arrived for the legions of the American left wing that have argued relentlessly for more than half a century that the Rosenbergs were victims, framed by a hostile, fear-mongering U.S. government. Since the couple’s trial, the left has portrayed them as martyrs for civil liberties, righteous dissenters whose chief crime was to express their constitutionally protected political beliefs. In the end, the left has argued, the two communists were put to death not for spying but for their unpopular opinions, at a time when the Truman and Eisenhower administrations were seeking to stem opposition to their anti-Soviet foreign policy during the Cold War."

This LA times article was written by Ronald Radosh, an emeritus professor of history at City University of New York and an adjunct senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, as well as the coauthor of "The Rosenberg File." CNN's Jack Cafferty Says If Obama Loses It's Because Of Race

There must be no other reason that someone would vote against Obama, right? Oh yeah, other than his hardcore liberal voting record, his views on foreign and domestic policy issues, his lack of experience and a record, his lack of any meaningful accomplishments, his associations with anti-American and anti-Israel figures, his and his wife's insulting remarks about this country, his blatant flip flops on important issues, his voting "present" 130 times in the Illinois Senate, his arrogance in delivering a meaningless speech in Berlin as if he were already Reagan or JFK, his reliance on the cult of personality to win an election, his blaming Bush for everything and anything regardless of whether it is warranted or not, and his refusal to debate John McCain over the summer when McCain offered to debate him once a week in informal townhall settings. Though if you are the Governor of New York every one of the aforementioned reasons is probably racial "coding" anyway.

Poll Shows Only Five Point Gap Between Obama And McCain...In NEW YORK!

This amounts to drop for Obama of %13 since Obama clinched the Democrat nomination in June, at that point he was leading McCain by %18. Further, it puts Obama just outside the margin of error. If things go so well for McCain that he takes New York, there is no doubt he will be our next president. If additional polls continue to show this kind of race in New York then McCain will likely start putting some resources into that traditionally very blue state.

Here what the Siena Research Institute of Siena College, Loudonville, NY reports:

"Seven weeks until Election Day, the race for President has tightened in New York, with Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) leading Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) 46-41 percent among likely voters, according to a new Siena (College) Research Institute poll released today. Obama’s five point lead is down from eight points in August, 13 points in July and 18 points in June, when he led 51-33 percent. On a series of six questions concerning current issues in the campaign – economy, Iraq, terrorism, health care, America’s position in the world, and education – likely voters believe Obama will do a better job on four. Conversely, out of six attributes voters often look at in choosing a candidate – compassion, patriotism, experience, intelligence, integrity, and leadership – New York’s electorate gives the edge to McCain on four."

Part 4 Of The O'reilly Interview With Obama On Energy And Russia

Obama cites T. Boone Pickens on energy, but Pickens supports drilling offshore and in ANWR. The fact that Obama would specifically exclude drilling as part of any energy independence initiative can only be explained by the Democrat party being in the pocket of the environmental lobby even when the good of the country is at stake.

Israel Set To Buy 1,000 "Bunker-Buster" Bombs From US That Could Be Used In A Potential Strike On Iran's Nuclear Facilities

The Jerusalem Post reports:

"The US Department of Defense has notified Congress of a potential sale to Israel of 1,000 smart bombs capable of penetrating underground bunkers, which would likely be used in the event of a military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. The notification to Congress was made over the weekend by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the branch of the Pentagon responsible for evaluating foreign military sales. Congress has 30 days to object to the deal. The deal is valued at $77 million and the principal contractor would be Boeing Integrated Defense Systems. The bomb Israel wants is the GBU-39, developed in recent years by the US as a small-diameter bomb for low-cost, high-precision and low-collateral damage strikes. Israel has also asked for 150 mounting carriages, 30 guided test vehicles and two instructors to train the air force in loading the bombs on its aircraft. The GPS-guided GBU-39 is said to be one of the most accurate bombs in the world. ...Tests conducted in the US have proven that the bomb is capable of penetrating at least 90 cm. of steel-reinforced concrete. The GBU-39 can be used in adverse weather conditions and has a standoff range of more than 110 km. due to pop-out wings.

In its recommendation to Congress, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency wrote that...'it is vital to the US national interests to assist Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability. This proposed sale is consistent with those objectives.'"

The Polls: The Sarah Palin/Republican Convention Bounce Has Got To Have Obama Worried

I do not usually put emphasis on polls because they can end up being drastically wrong. The only poll that actually matters is the one on election day. But you have to know that the Obama people are looking at these recent polls and they certainly do not like what they see. Further, everyone assumed this was Obama's election to lose. This race is starting to look competitive, and McCain is looking like he has a really good shot. Of course all these polls are early in the game as there has still not been a single presidential or vice presidential debate. Nonetheless, it shows how brilliant the Sarah Palin pick was in reshaping this election.

RASMUSSEN REPORTS, September 14:
"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows John McCain reaching the 50% level of support for the first time since Barack Obama wrapped up the Democratic Presidential Nomination. McCain retains a three-point advantage for the third straight day, 50% to 47%." This poll takes the Charlie Gibson interview into account and is the first time McCain has majority support.

GALLUP, September 14:
"The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update shows 47% of registered voters preferring John McCain and 45% Barack Obama."

REAL CLEAR POLITICS AVERAGE OF POLLS:
McCain %47.5, Obama %45.2.

STAR TRIBUNE MINNESOTA POLL, September 14:
Both candidates have %45. This is a typical blue state. CNN had Obama up by 12 points just before the Republican convention.

ZOGBY STATE BY STATE POLLS, September 13:
* Pennsylvania - McCain 49.1%, Obama 44.3%. This is a must-win blue state for Obama. If McCain takes Pennsylvania, the experts say he wins the election.
* Florida - "McCain has a 10-point lead and he's over 50%."
* Ohio - McCain, 49.8%, Obama 43.9%. This is a key battleground state in the election.

All this goes to show is that this election has become very close. Obama's momentum has dissipated as a result of the RNC and Palin pick. Obama can still win this thing, it is too early to tell, but he is going to have to try a little harder than he may have expected.

Spoof Of Obama's Ad That Ridicules McCain For Being Old And Unable To Use E-mail

ABC's Jake Tapper, a guy that has been doing good work reporting on ABC's website in a pretty fair and balanced fashion, looked into why McCain does not use e-mail. He wrote that "McCain isn’t comfortable talking about this — and the McCain campaign discouraged me from writing about this — but the reason the aged Arizonan doesn’t use a computer or send email is because of his war wounds. I realize some of the nastier liberals in the blogosphere will see this as McCain once again 'playing the POW card,' but it’s simply a fact: typing on a regular keyboard for any sustained period of time bothers McCain physically. He can type, he occasionally does type, but in general the injuries he sustained as a POW — ones that make it impossible for him to raise his arms high enough to comb his hair — mean that small tasks make his shoulders ache, so he tries to avoid any repetitive exercise." It is truly remarkable that Obama had the audacity to include the attack about McCain not using e-mail in his silly ad. The Obama campaign could have and should have done the very minimal research to find out why he does not use e-mail before including that nonsense. That the campaign did not is nothing short of inexcusable.
