Benjamin Netanyahu: Iran "Will Not Be Armed With A Nuclear Weapon."

Bibi Netanyahu is the current opposition leader and head of the Likud party. He is currently the leading candidate in the Israeli election for Prime Minister scheduled for February 10. The AP reports that "Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's leading candidate for prime minister, said Saturday that Iran 'will not be armed with a nuclear weapon.' In an interview with Israel's Channel 2 TV, Netanyahu said if elected prime minister his first mission will be to thwart the Iranian nuclear threat.... When asked if stopping Iran's nuclear ambitions included a military strike, he replied: 'It includes everything that is necessary to make this statement come true.'"

If Netanyahu is serious about taking out Iran's nuclear facility, I hope that America will support him. If Obama does not support Netanyahu making any move against Iran, I hope Netanyahu ignores him and does what is in the best interest of defending Israel.

Israel's ambassador to Australia seemed to slip up recently and seemingly implied that an attack on Iran is coming within the next month, after which he immediately asked that media cameras be turned off. Bibi might be serious about this after all.

Benjamin Netanyahu has also vowed that he will not divide Jerusalem. Bibi said that "we did not return to Jerusalem after praying for it to be rebuilt for 2000 years in order to give it up. We did not unite the city in order to divide it, and my government will maintain a united Jerusalem. A sane country does not give its capital to its enemies."
