Politico reports that "Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair announced today that Ambassador Charles W. Freeman Jr. has requested that his selection to be Chairman of the National Intelligence Council not proceed. Director Blair accepted Ambassador Freeman’s decision with regret."
Freeman's decision tow withdraw should have been accepted with glee. The good news, however, is that the outcry from those with an ounce of common sense against Freeman's appointment seems to have had an effect. This is an important lesson that raising the alarm over issues that the mainstream media may ignore is not a waste of time. I certainly will keep fighting the good fight!
