This, thanks to the defection of Arlen Specter earlier this year, gives the Democrat's 60 seats, or a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. Republican Norm Coleman had asked the court to order thousands of rejected absentee ballots counted hoping the counting would allow him to overcome Franken. Following the decision, however, Norm Coleman has conceded.
