Obama plans to give the Medal of Freedom to the former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Mary Robinson. She is most famous for presiding over the 2001 World Conference Against Racism in Durban, South Africa. The Durban conference was a forum for targeting Israel, which the United States and Israel boycotted.
