The following Newsweek article is a very interesting piece on the role that the figure of Moses has played on America and her history: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1927303-2,00.html
Though I must admit I am less than impressed with the end of the article which seems to compare Obama to Moses and his detractors to the stiff-necked Israelites that roamed the desert under the God's clouds of glory with him.
