February 12 is the birthday of Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin. Both men were some of the most influential men of the 19th century, and the actions and ideas of both men have had lasting impacts until this day. The difference is that Lincoln is no longer a source of controversy, while Darwin elicits the most sensitive of passions. The following is an article by Intelligent Design advocate Casey Luskin that is worthy of reading, commenting on "Darwin Day":

Minority Leader John Boehnor On Porkulus Bill: "1,100 Pages, Not One Member Of This Body Has Read"
Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price also discussed the big-government non-stimulus spending bill. Rep. Price has pointed out that Democrats made the bill available at 11 p.m. on Thursday night and at 9 a.m. Friday morning the House began debate on the bill. If members of Congress actually took the time to read the bill, they would have to read through the night at a rate of 626 words per minute before heading to the House floor.
See Illinois Republican Rep. Aaron Schock below talks about how not one employee of Caterpillar upon his visit with Obama to the Caterpillar plant urged him to vote for the spending bill, but how he has recieved 1,400 phone calls, letters, and e-mails from Caterpillar employees asking him to oppose this unprecedented wasteful spending spree.
Meanwhile, the House passed this $787 billion spendulus bill today, with every Republican standing on principle and voting against.

1/3 Of Europeans Blame Global Economic Meltdown On...The Joooooooos
The Associated Press reports that "the Anti-Defamation League said Tuesday that a survey it commissioned found nearly a third of Europeans polled blame Jews for the global economic meltdown and that a greater number think Jews have too much power in the business world. The organization, which says its aim is 'to stop the defamation of Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all,' says the seven-nation survey confirms that anti-Semitism remains strong. The poll included interviews with 3,500 people - 500 each in Austria, Britain, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Spain. It says that in Spain, 74 percent of those asked say they feel it is 'probably true' that Jews hold too much sway over the global financial markets. That is the highest percentage in the survey. Nearly two-thirds of Spanish respondents said Jews were more loyal to Israel than they were to their home countries."

Bill Clinton: We Need "Fairness Doctrine…Or More Balance"
Bill Clinton says "there's always been a lot of big money to support the right wing talk shows." I think he is confusing Rush Limbaugh with Air America. As Bill Clinton himself notes, right wing radio is "fairly entertaining." It is bankrolled not by some conservative version of George Soros, but by ratings. People listen so advertisers advertise. It's not some hidden right wing dollars that are paying Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity's salary. What Bill Clinton, Senator Tom Harkin, and Senator Debbie Stabenow have advocated this week, that being bringing back the fairness doctrine is pure censorship of the opposition. None of us should stand for it.

Geert Wilders: The British Government Proved They Are "The Biggest Cowards In Europe Today" After Ban On His Entering The UK
Dutch Freedom Party Leader Geert Wilders had been invited to show his film "Fitna" in the House of Lords by the UK Independence Party's Lord Pearson. Mr. Wilders faces persecution in his own country for his film on Islamic radicalism and violence. Now he has been denied entry into Britain. Geert Wilders told the TimesOnline that the British government was now “more Chamberlain than Churchill.”
Listen to Geert Wilders being interviewed by CNN by visiting http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/world/2009/02/12/sot.shubert.dutch.lawmaker.cnn
Below is another interview with Geert Wilders.
One of the main reasons he was banned from entering Britain is because of opposition led by Britain's Muslim member of the House of Lords Nazir Ahmed. You can watch Lord Pearson and Lord Ahmed being interviewed by Sky News below.
