UK Muslim Protesters Threaten Geert Wilders: "We'll Have His Head"
L.A. Times On Ayaan Hirsi Ali: "Feminism's Freedom Fighter" Putting "Her Life On The Line To Defend Women Against Radical Islam"
The following is the summary of the story of Ayaan Hirsi Ali as written by the L.A. Times: "For five years she's lived under the threat of death from Islamic radicals, and in those five years, she has become an acclaimed and provocative author on matters about Islam and the West. Ayaan Hirsi Ali was born into a Somali Muslim family and eventually made her way to the Netherlands as a refugee. There she wrote a screenplay for a short film about women's treatment under Islam. Just over two months after it aired, the filmmaker Theo van Gogh was assassinated. A letter threatening Ali's life has meant she has lived under guard ever since -- most recently thanks to a fund set up by private donors. Controversy follows her: In 2006, she resigned from the Netherlands parliament under fire for lying on her asylum papers; the complex charges and countercharges precipitated a Dutch political upheaval. She now works for the conservative American Enterprise Institute, which is headquartered in Washington. She established her AHA foundation to defend the rights of women in the West against militant Islam. Her autobiography, 'Infidel: My Life,' which detailed her own genital mutilation in Somalia, was a bestseller, and her next book, 'Nomad,' is to be published in February."
Ayaan Hirsi Ali was interviewed by the Los Angeles Times's Patt Morrison. The interview can be seen here: http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commentary/la-oe-morrison17-2009oct17,0,4356705,full.story

Israel Slams UN Human Rights Council's "One-Sided, Unjust Decision" To Endorse Goldstone Report
The Jerusalem Post reports that "following the UN Human Rights Council's endorsement of the Goldstone Commission Report in Geneva on Friday, the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem stated that Israel rejects the 'one-sided decision' and calls on 'all the responsible states' not to accept it. Despite Israeli lobbying efforts against the Goldstone report, a resolution endorsing the document passed 25-6, with eleven countries abstaining. Five states, including France and the UK, declined to vote. The move is expected to send the report on to more powerful UN bodies in New York for action. 'The council's decision undermines efforts to safeguard human rights in accordance with international law, as well as the efforts to advance the peace process in the Middle East,' the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. 'The decision encourages terror groups in the whole world and undermines world peace. The decision also ignores the fact that the IDF took unprecedented measures to avoid harming civilians, and [ignores] the terrorists' use of civilians as human shields.' Although the Goldstone report also accuses Hamas of war crimes, the five-page resolution adopted in Geneva explicitly mentions only Israeli violations of international law."

An Unconstitutional Nobel
Article I, Section 9, of the Constitution, the emolument clause, stipulates: "And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State."
Ronald D. Rotunda is distinguished professor of jurisprudence at Chapman University Law School. J. Peter Pham is senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. The two argue in the Washington Post that it is unconstitutional for the President to accept a foreign award, especially one meant to influence American policy without the consent of Congress. They argue that this Nobel is actually the second emolument accepted by Obama without approval if you include the collar accepted from the Saudi King that Obama made sure to bow before. If the Constitution requires a mere Congressional rubber-stamp from the Democratic Congress then it is imperative that the President be loyal to our founding document.
Not to mention the fact that a Congressional debate on the merits of the award would be priceless.

Chief Rabbi Of South Africa: Goldstone Report A "Disgrace"
One of the reasons Richard Goldstone was chosen by the UN Human Rights Commission to write the report about the January conflict in Gaza was probably because he is Jewish. But his South African Jews are disgusted with him, as this opinion piece by the Chief Rabbi demonstrates: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1255450652253&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull Tweet
UK Rejects Goldstone Commission Report
The Jerusalem Post reports that "the United Kingdom became the first Western country with voting rights on the UN Human Rights Council to clearly state that it would not endorse the Goldstone Report or the draft resolution based on that report, which had been placed before the council's two-day special session that opened Thursday in Geneva. 'We can not endorse the report and can not vote for the resolution as tabled,' the UK told the council on Thursday. It added that it did not consider it necessary to hold a special session on the report." Tweet
Libya Releases 88 Islamist Al-Qaeda Linked Terrorists
The AFP reports that "Libya on Thursday freed 88 Islamists and announced it will demolish Abu Slim prison, notorious for what human rights groups say was a 1996 massacre in which more than 1,000 prisoners were killed. The Islamists with Al-Qaeda links walked out of the Tripoli prison, an AFP correspondent at the scene reported."
I guess if Scotland can free Libyan terrorists for no reason, Libya can free Al-Qaeda terrorists for no reason.

New Book Claims CAIR Spent $160,000 Dollars To Silence Michael Savage
WND reports that "an explosive new book based on a daring six-month undercover operation exposing the subversive agenda of the Council on American-Islamic Relations reveals the Muslim group spent $160,000 in an unsuccessful effort to run top-rated nationally syndicated radio host Michael Savage off the air. Internal CAIR documents uncovered in 'Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America' show that despite its high cost and the continued success of Savage's show, CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad believed the campaign was 'worth every penny,' because, he says, the radio star lost at least $1 million in advertising." Pakistani Taliban Leader: "We Want An Islamic State. If We Get That, Then We Will Go To The Borders And Help Fight The Indians."
The AKI reports that "the Pakistani Taliban's new leader Hakimullah Mehsud warned India of future attacks and sent a message to Pakistan's army that if it wanted a halt to attacks, it would have to stop taking orders from the Americans. 'We are fighting the Pakistan army, police and the frontier corps, because they are following American orders. If they stop following their orders, we will stop fighting them,' said Mehsud in a video interview aired by British news channel Sky News on Wednesday. Mehsud also said he would send his soldiers to the Indian border to fight once Pakistan had been turned into an Islamic state.' We want an Islamic state. If we get that, then we will go to the borders and help fight the Indians.'" Tweet
House Republicans Accuse CAIR Of Trying To Plant Spies
The Hill reports that "Republican members of the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus said the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) have tried to plant 'spies' within key national-security committees in order to shape legislative policy. Reps. Sue Myrick (R-N.C.), John Shadegg (R-Ariz.), Paul Broun (R-Ga.) and Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), citing the book Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld that’s Conspiring to Islamize America, called for the House sergeant at arms to investigate whether CAIR had been successful in placing interns on key panels. The lawmakers are specifically focused on the House Homeland Security Committee, Intelligence Committee and Judiciary Committee."

Pentagon Wants Bunker-Busting "Massive Ordnance Penetrator" Fast
The Jerusalem Post reports that "the Pentagon is speeding up delivery of a colossal bomb designed to destroy hidden weapons bunkers buried underground and shielded by 10,000 pounds (4,535 kilograms) of reinforced concrete. Call it Plan B for dealing with Iran, which recently revealed a long-suspected nuclear site deep inside a mountain near the holy city of Qom. The 15-ton behemoth - called the 'Massive Ordnance Penetrator,' or MOP - will be the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal and carry 5,300 pounds (2,400 kilograms) of explosives. The bomb is about 10 times more powerful than the weapon it is designed to replace. The Pentagon has awarded a nearly $52 million contract to speed up placement of the bomb aboard the B-2 Stealth bomber, and officials say the bomb could be fielded as soon as next summer. Pentagon officials acknowledge that the new bomb is intended to blow up fortified sites like those used by Iran and North Korea for their nuclear programs, but they deny there is a specific target in mind." US Prevents Iran Arms Shipment
The Jerusalem Post reports that "US soldiers in the Gulf of Suez raided a freighter that was apparently shipping arms from Iran to Syria or Hizbullah in early October, German newspaper Der Spiegel reported on its Web site on Monday. According to the report, seven containers full of 7.62 millimeter ammunition suitable for Kalashnikov rifles and an eighth container full of cartridges suitable for the manufacture of additional rounds were found on the freighter, Hansa India." Netanyahu Slams Goldstone Report In Knesset
The Jerusalem Post reports that "Prime Minister Binyamin Net-anyahu insisted in the Knesset on Monday that Israel's right to defend itself must not be jeopardized by threats of international criminal prosecution against its leaders."
"We will not agree to a situation in which [former prime minister] Ehud Olmert, [Defense Minister] Ehud Barak and [former foreign minister] Tzipi Livni, who sent IDF soldiers to defend cities and civilians, will be called to the defendants' benches at The Hague," Netanyahu told the Knesset as it opened its winter session.
"Israel's basic rights to self-defense and to exist as a Jewish state are under continued attack, which has become even stronger following the Second Lebanon War and Operation Cast Lead. Our first mission is to repel them," the prime minister said as he attacked the Goldstone Report.
"This report, written by the warped [Goldstone] Commission, questions Israel's very right to self-defense. This report encourages terrorism and also endangers peace. I want to emphasize this. Israel will not take chances for peace if it cannot defend herself."

Hamas Bear Puppet Teaches Children To Kill Jews
Palestinian Media Watch reports that "the bear puppet host, Nassur, of a Hamas children's TV program used different words for 'slaughter' to describe how to rid Israel of Jews. First the bear explains that all Jews must be 'erased from our land.' Later in the conversation he adds, 'We want to slaughter them, Saraa, so they will be expelled from our land.' He repeats, '…We’ll have to [do it] by slaughter.' He first uses the Arabic expression for 'slaughter,' 'Nidbah-hom,' and later on uses the word 'Shaht.'" BBC: "What Happened To Global Warming?"
The BBC is now recognizing that there is room for global warming skepticism. The BBC writes that it may be surprising that it is a "fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998. But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures. And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise." Justice Clarence Thomas On How The Constitution Should Be Read
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas correctly states: "Let me put it this way; there are really only two ways to interpret the Constitution -- try to discern as best we can what the framers intended or make it up. No matter how ingenious, imaginative or artfully put, unless interpretive methodologies are tied to the original intent of the framers, they have no more basis in the Constitution than the latest football scores. To be sure, even the most conscientious effort to adhere to the original intent of the framers of our Constitution is flawed, as all methodologies and human institutions are; but at least originalism has the advantage of being legitimate and, I might add, impartial."
