Sheila Jackson Lee: “Today We Have Two Vietnams, Side By Side”

This historical ignoramus is sitting as a member of the House of Representatives?! "South Vietnam" ceased to exist in 1975. One of the central reasons for it no longer existing is that the US Senate, led by Rep. Jackson Lee's Democratic Party, refused to provide promised aid and support to the government in Saigon as tanks from North Vietnam rolled in. It is a shameful history of both betrayal and defeat that the Democratic party in Congress brought about by exploiting the weakness of the presidency due to the Watergate scandal to push for the end of all aid to South Vietnam.
