Ex-Gitmo Detainee Ahmed Ghailani Cleared Of All But One Charge In U.S. Embassy Bombings
Fox News reports that former "Guantanamo Bay detainee Ahmed Ghailani was found not guilty on all but one charge Wednesday by a civilian jury in New York, in a case with ramifications for President Obama's policy toward Guantanamo and civilian trials for terror suspects. Ghailani was acquitted in federal court on more than 280 charges in connection with the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, including one murder count for each of the 224 people killed. He was found guilty for only one charge, conspiracy to destroy government buildings.Ghailani faces a minimum sentence of 20 years in prison and a possible life sentence. He will remain in custody and sentencing will take place on Jan. 25, 2011."
As Hugh Hewitt writes, today's "travesty of justice can be laid at the feet of President Obama, Attorney General Holder and the five justices who have systematically destroyed every attempt by the Congress and President Bush to create a coherent system of military tribunals for terrorists. 224 innocents were killed by this terrorist, including 12 Americans. They will never receive justice because of the absurd legal theories of a small group of justices and the refusal of Barack Obama and Eric Holder to demand of their left-wing colleagues in the Congress a continued insistence on military tribunals."

Senate Republicans Back Ban On Earmarks Via Voice Vote
Politico reports that "Senate Republicans on Tuesday night showed a united front and called on Democrats to join them in opposing the long-standing practice. During a closed-door caucus meeting, Republicans passed by voice vote a two-year moratorium on earmarks, identical to one approved by the House GOP earlier this year. They also approved a resolution sponsored by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky challenging their Democratic colleagues to enact an earmark ban of their own." Tweet

Whatever one's opinion may be of these new full-body scanners or the alternative of being groped at airports, openly stating that the Constitution should be ignored is not the way to go about advocating the use of these machines:

Whoopi Goldberg Defends Walking Out On O'Reilly On The Set Of "The View" After He Said "Muslims Killed Us On 9-11"
This is just an idiotic defense of her petulant and self-righteous walkout. Of course Bill O'Reilly was not talking about Kareem Abdul Jabar or Muhammad Ali. One would have to have rock for brains and see in all every politically correct offense they can in order to imply that from O'Reilly's statement. It is an undeniable fact that Whoopi would rather ignore than 19 Middle Eastern Islamic men, mostly from Saudi Arabia but also from the UAE, committed the attacks of 9-11. It is a factual statement that O'Reilly.
